North Bay In Focus
A ‘North Bay Residents Association’ is to be formed to represent the North Bay area of Scarborough.
The aim is to provide a community hub for residents and business within the North Bay.
The current mindset is to propose a Community Asset Transfer of the old Indoor Pool site to be used as a community, business & exhibition space, cultural arts & crafts, diversity centre with a ‘Corner Café’ ballroom focus to hold and promote local events.

To do this our initial objective is to establish a North Bay Action Group.
Why Now?
At present the North Bay does not have a Parish Council. Scarborough Borough Council is subject to a Unitary Authority as part of a ‘devolution’ bid and the North Bay is at risk of grass roots representation being silenced.
It is understood that Benchmark’s license to develop it’s ‘Masterplan’ for the North Bay expires December 2020. Other known interested parties have yet to declare an official interest or proposition.
The North Bay Action Group would be the eyes and ears of the North Bay and would represent residents, traders & business of the North Bay.
